Mad Roleplay moments

A new character joined the group (remind me to do a resume of the group's actions so far) but it was clear we were having problems.
S: Damn, I can't make this character.
Me: *ever helpful GM* Well, start at the concept - what is the concept?
S: Reality TV Show winner.
Me: errrr... ick?
S: I know. I have too many points to spend! This bloody system won't let me produce a talentless waste of skin!
Yes, the character creation system makes it hard to create talentless narks! Though it did give us the chance to have a character with crafts "Bushtucker challenges"
It was also decided that if he chose Clan Toreador or Clan Ventrue the rest of the clan in the city would just commit suicide out of pure shame.

One character as a misfit can work... but it becomes very easy to shunt him off as comic relief or have him eclipsed by the other players. You end up with someone who is always in shade and not often involved.

Then weird things like Athletics (climbing in all the weird challenges), dodge (avoiding the weid poisonous snakes a la survivor), stealth (trying to avoid cameras to have a make out session with the cheap blonde bimbo), security (trying to break out of the Big Brother house). We had loads of funny excuses for weird stat line ups

Date: 2006-09-26 11:59 pm (UTC)Talents, skills knowledges. You divide them and put 13pts in one, 9pts in another and 5pts in the 3rd - so an impractical professor would have 13pts of knowledges but only 5pts of skills etc.
So we could spend the 13pts in talents. It was the skills and ESPECIALLY the knowledges that foiled us
LOL< the Ventrue may be attracted to him - but can you imagine the SHAME of it? Negative dignitas!

Because we have done it already. Steve Irwin, of Clan Malkavian. He tagged a werewolf. He filmed several Tzimisce war ghouls. He had a new cameraman every week.
