Ah, that reminds me: Houston, we have a problem.

Daemon, despite being generally well behaved *touch wood* to a truly shocking degree, has decided that there are no blank cds in its nifty cd burner. Even when I put blank CDs in there for the purpose of writing. It still read data and music CDs just fine, but put in a blank CD and nope, nothing there apparently. This is vexing

What is further vexing is that if I do not fix it myself, I will have to appeal to beloved for help.

The Sparky does not admit ignorance. Ever. This is a rule.

It will also be further confirmation of his spurious and malicious implication that my computer is the spawn of all evil and that no-one should use it without a Haz Mat suit and a crucifix. He will further use this as evidence that I am no more fit to manage a computer than Enoch Powel is to manage a racial awareness meeting or Blair is to run a country.

This cannot be allowed! I muuuust figure out how to fix the poor comp or face ever lasting shame

I've been browsing through my old fic in an attempt to awaken a muse or two and am pleasantly surprised... some old fic which at the time I hated rather a lot and thought wasn't worth printing out and using as toilet paper I now look at and actually LIKE (and I normally don't like much of what I write - but for me to suddenly like what i used to loathe? Weird. Anyoen else ever looked back on old fic that at the time of writing left a sour taste in the mouth but now they like muchly without any editing?

This is odd, for I am not drunk. Hmmm *pokes brain* is this sobriety?

Of course some of it (most especially my first Liam/Rhiannon/Kat backstory) still makes me cringe in utter agony

And did Rick really swear that much? Darren must be a good influence
