You know what the MAIN problem is writing homo-erotic third person slash?

You can't use pro-nouns! The words "he" or "his" can mean any of 2(+) people! And if you can't just keep writing their names, and physical descriptions get old very fast. At least hetero slash you can use "he" and she" (unless there are lots of people playing of course).

But the third can describe thiongs thew characters haven't seen/haven't realised. Advantages to both.

yup. it's also great when you have a specific mood in mind, and you know that the char you're using for it is probably thinking something that isn't going to lend itself to it.
