14 boys meme - catching up with Nik

sparkindarknessThese haven't made much of an appearance, I know, but they can be found through the memories I think. I'll add more to their plot eventually, but I think they're fairly low down the list.

Name: Nikita Szantovitch/Zantosa (bani Cult of Ecstasy)

Orientation: Sexuality is a self imposed limit, an illusion of reality. In other words - he’ll screw anything.
Origin: Always been London boy.
Significant Other(s): He‘s not the settling down type. Not yet anyway.
Quirks: Well, he’s a Cult of Ecstasy. The Cult gets a lot of bad press, they’re not just deranged hedonists, hopeless drug addicts and sensation seekers... they just look like that. He looks reckless to the point of stupidity. He’ll try anything, even if anyone with half an ounce of sense would never even consider it. At the same time he can be surprisingly deep and spiritual. Sometimes even at the same time.
Employment: Layabout. Ok, unfair, he does sing and play at Emrys’ coffee shop. But Emrys has learned not to rely on him.
Appearance: In his way, he is easily as good looking as Emrys. Nik is tall, with short black hair, pale skin, square jaw and dazzling dark eyes. He never fails to turn heads, and not entirely because he’s usually drunk.
Distinguishing Characteristics: He‘s nearly always drunk or high or stoned. Tends to be quite distinctive.
If You Could Pick a Theme Song for This Character, It Would Be: “Original Sin” Meat Loaf.
Sin-of-Anger: Order annoys him. Ok, to clarify, rules and restrictions for no good reason, and even for a good reason, annoy him. People who never try anything, who lived their own mundane little lives every day, never expanding their senses, never realising their potential - they annoy him. Every couch potato, everyone who is little more than their job, everyone who has stopped learning. Generally, people acting like sheep, like numbers or robots, just drives him mad. Oh, and withdrawal. Withdrawal's a bitch.
On a more personal note - the name’s Nik. As far as you’re concerned, it’s short for Nicholas, OK? Don’t use the full name, he really doesn’t like it.
Sin-of-Envy: Envy? Oh please, what could be better than this?
Sin-of-Pride: Like above really. Trouble is, he tends to be rather reckless with magic (well, he’s reckless with everything). He’s a mage, he can do it. So he overestimates his powers, assumes he’ll see any bad thing coming then lays himself up with paradox for a week or so.
Sin of Gluttony Something new! Try it.
Sin-of-Lust: He has spells based on sex. Sex is a focus for him. He can achieve enlightenment by having sex. He studies it - different positions, different lengths, endurance contests, stretching time, compressing time, altering emotions, different number of people... So, yeah, definitely a lot of lust there.
Sin-of-Avarice: Reality is an illusion, material goods are just chains. Experience is what truly counts. Unless it looks really cool.
Sin-of-Sloth: He pushes himself to the utter limit (it’s kind of his religion) then past it. Then collapses and may have to sleep for three or four days straight (usually in Emrys’ sanctum so the Verbena can use his healing magic to keep the Cultist alive).
Virtues: He’s brave and good. I know, sounds a bit fluffy. But he really doesn’t seem to have any fear for his own safety, danger is an experience, adrenaline another drug and pain just the flip-side of pleasure. Plus he’s getting a little desperate. he’s a seer after all, even under all the psychedelic drugs. And he doesn’t like what he’s seeing. So he pushes himself, will try ANYTHING to try and turn things around.
Like Emrys, Nik was a character in an RPG (though not my character).
