No. 14 Matthias. Now I can return to ordinary writing again.
Name: Matthias (bani Euthanatos) His second name changes quite frequently. Something to do with his past... Usually he’ll quote Jones or Smith or something equally generic.

Orientation: Heterosexual... but open to suggestion (he doesn’t like guys, honest, but Nik really can make sex interesting...)
Origin: Originally from Newcastle. He’s lost his accent.
Significant Other(s): Not yet...
Quirks: He’s fairly unquirky. He’s a bit morbid and gothic, but he isn’t, not really. he’s playing up to stereotype more than anything. For some reason people just aren't willing to accept a happy, fluffy Euthanatos. Besides, playing the tragic, gothic sociopath Euthanatos actually gets you an amazing following of gullible Hollow Ones and Orphans at times. Trouble is, even though he isn’t necessarily morbid - he is a killer, he does have some views that border on the sociopathic (in a nice way... honest). Look, he just thinks some people are far better off dead - for themselves and for the world. He’s not morbid or obsessed about it... just practical. He’s also very goal orientated and doesn’t waste time on anything not related to that goal, like pleasantries or small talk. To top it off, he’s very in touch with his past lives, and sometimes they press onto the current situation. He’ll mention he remembers something that he really shouldn’t be able to or speak of things that happened hundreds or even thousands of years ago as if it happened only yesterday. And don’t get him started on the Akashic Brotherhood, ok?
Ah, crap. He’s a good guy, but has a bloody awful attitude and generally wierds people out or offends them without even trying.
On a more mystical note - his agama went wrong. Rather badly wrong. The Euthanatos have a tradition where new members of the Tradition have to experience death (and THEN they wonder why people think they’re morbid?). Many modern mages just have controlled death situations, but traditionally you had to walk in the underworld. Unfortunately for Matthias, when he and his mentor got there, they were met by several spectres who had a grudge to settle with his teacher. It wasn’t pleasant. His mentor left severely disturbed. He left with horrendous nightmares and the cold of Oblivion clinging to his very bones.
Employment: He gets by. It’s hard to hold down a job, he doesn’t want to attract attention. Some people he deals with have money on them. It’s enough.
Appearance: He‘s handsome, certainly nice on the eyes, though not in Nik or Emrys’ league. His looks are actually fairly conventional, he’s of average height, light brown, shoulder length hair (though he occasionally dyes it black - mainly to fit in with stereotype again) and has pale grey eyes. He’s not especially fair, actually looking slightly tanned, even without ever seeing the sun. And someone really has to clue him in that the black leather he wears does NOTHING for him. He does keep in good shape, but he’s more wiry than muscle bound.
Distinguishing Characteristics: He has a habit of staring at people as if judging them. Which is pretty accurate, since he is. His touch is icy - literally colder than a corpse. His all black look and sunglasses even at night also generally, make most people think ‘freak’.
If You Could Pick a Theme Song for This Character, It Would Be: “Listen to the Voices.” Labbi Siffre. He’s pissed at what people have done and the problems that need fixing. “One Tin Soldier rides Away” Joni Mitchell. Yes, he’s an activist. And a militant one.
Sin-of-Anger: Is everyone BLIND?! Don’t they see what they’re doing to the world?! What they’re doing to people?! Don’t they even care?! They’re given this life and they just throw it away, sit uselessly doing nothing. Or even help spread the pain around, causing more and more suffering - for what?! The wheel is heavy - time to lighten the road. Maybe they’ll use their lives better next time round.
Also the Akashic Brotherhood. He knows the Himalayas war is over. He has no wish to start it again. But he remembers it. he remembers dying in it time and time again. He doesn’t trust them and likely never will. Actually a lot of old things that most everyone else have long since forgotten annoys him. He hates House Solificanti of the Order of Hermes with a rabid passion (well he doesn’t especially like the Order of Hermes anyway) for their ancient betrayal. He’s furious with the Ahl-i-Batini for ‘quitting.’ He doesn’t massively trust most Sons of Ether or Virtual Adepts either (Sebastian is an exception... just).
Sin-of-Envy: Oh yes - sometimes he envies people dead for centuries! He envies the Sleepers sometimes... it must be nice not to have the weight of ages pushing down on you, or to be oblivious to the state of the world.
Sin-of-Pride: He disagrees, but I think the fact that he assumes he has the right to judge people - even execute them is an extreme act of pride.
Sin of Gluttony He‘s an extremely good cook, surprisingly. Especially Thai and Indian food.
Sin-of-Lust: Not that he‘s going to admit it - but women with long auburn hair could probably control him quite easily.
Sin-of-Avarice: It‘s hard, living on a shoe string. He likes creature comforts, oh he hates himself for it, but he does definitely like pointless luxury. And leather. He’d give a small body part for a new leather coat. Or a shiny new knife... and a gun! It’s so hard to get your hands on a decent gun! He’s always having to leave them behind or dump them.
Sin-of-Sloth: Inactivity annoys him. I’m not sure if this is a Sin of Sloth, but if he ever has to lay low for a while - if sloth is ever enforced on him, he just can't do it. He tends to get reckless...
Virtues: He’s a bleeding heart empath. I’m serious, if someone’s hurting he has to make it stop and he has to do it now (alright, that usually involves finding whoever’s causing the hurt and ushering them into the next life, but still). He wants to make the world better. He also wants to bring justice to the world. Yes, he kills people - but not at random by any stretch. They have to need to die first - alright that’s probably not the right attitude, but desperate times?
