Have I ever mentioned how much the expansion rocks?

There is PLOT again. Actual plot and storylines! Arcs and canon and it's oh so wonderful. I have a little geeky squee every time I meet a dragon aspect (Beloved despairs. Yes yes he does)

And it's pretty. REALLY REALLY pretty. It's visually STUNNING

And the cutscenes. The Wintergarde defender quests? AWESOME. Literally seat rivetting.

And the phasing thing? Great great great great idea.



As for the guild. Well, on day 3 of WOTLK we, the GMS screamed "NO MORE DAMN DEATHKNIGHTS!" because everyone and his pet monkey wanted to have one. Of course, the novelty has worn off and we're now recruting them because DKs rock muchly (huge dps and offtank for Gothik? Give!)

Our progress? Well, we're none casual, fun guild without strict raiding requirements or rules :) so we're not among the top on the server and wouldn't want to be. We're fun, not hardcore

Though we have yet to kill Heigan with more than 5 guildies left alive.

I Hate Gothik.

I Hate HoS.

I hate being told I'm a crap tank because I let mobs past me to the healers/DPS. 'But, but, we can start instant AoE damage when the warriors are tanking' - yes, warriors have thunderclap. And decent 360 moves. I have positioning. And a 'AoE' which only hits in front and doesn't do much theat. Oh, and needs to be targetted.

Oh, and told I can't tank Noth because I lost him in blinks - er, so, dear warrior who thinks I can't tank an 'easy' fight, why did you change the positioning (which you told me to use) on your 10-man run if you had it SO perfect?

And I keep getting told to read tacts/watch movies when I learn by /doing/ a fight, and I suspect a certain warrior always gets it right 100% first time. Yeah. Right. He did Naxx40, so he's already had bloody practice...

(Little pissed at the warrior atm...)

Anyway, guild-wise we're 25 Naxx/Archevron/Sartharion(0) clear, 10 Naxx/Archi/Sartharion(0)/Malygos clear - I should get my personal 10 Malygos/Naxx tonight. :)

Now if I can keep my bloody raiding spot... (34k unbuffed health... Happy... *dances*)

I hate Gothik. We have a moonkin who has a STUPID spec because he has taken are lots of talents to make his aoe powers as strong as possible (the other guild moonkin gives him a strange look and says "And we use AoE how often? Improved Faerie fire ftw!") and then uses hurricane and typhoon whenever he can (and I have lost count of the mobs agroed by bloody star fall)

And he's not the only one *mutters about new bloody fire spec mages* they see the mobs come? Aoe! AOE! AOE! Then the dead side sits around twiddling their thumbs and suddely 3 riders and 6 deathknights ALL DIE AT ONCE GAH! All the while the tank on the living side is screaming "AGRO!" Of course, made worse by the dps screaming "rider!" and shooting it as soon as it appears - sod the tank getting agro

I don't know what happened?! They wouldn't have pulled this crap when we were in Sunwell! Did the extra 10 levels make the brains leak out?

And Noth is a bitch. he always is. The dps should KNOW this becuase he AGRO drops and they have to BEHAVE.

I do ask guildies to read tacts and watch movies - but I explain tacts as well and expect a practice run. What annoys me is when people arrive with NO CLUE AT ALL what's going to happen and say things like "whut? we have to move on Heigan?" or "Sapphiron does frost damage! I never knew!"


Malygos is a BITCH. Grrr, we got him but it was HARD.
