*life plagues me with unnecessary panic*
Sep. 12th, 2008 10:35 amMy parents go on holiday tomorrow morning - hella early. (BTW that leaves me to deal with my work, my crazies, my other commitments, my brother, his creditors AND Alzheimers grandmother all alone since the social services buggered up and respite care will be delayed. Expect words this coming week).
And they wake up to find out one of the big travel firms has collapsed (again) and that everyone needs to check with their holiday provider to see if they're actually going to be able to go anywhere.
Oh the stress. Not what was needed. Especially since Dad, the obsessively meticulous planner, tends to panic obscenely at any indication that his plans are disrupted. Disruption on this scale? Well, that would normally prompt him running round and round in circles waving his hands in the air and whimpering. (Similar to when my brother burned his house down, he was doing to equivalent of running around yelling "fire fire fire fire fire fire" WEEKS after the ashes have cooled).
*exhausted yawn* so I have come off night shift to be woken early and spent the last 3 hours trying to track down someone in the holiday place who will actually talk to me. Thankfully they finally got through and they're going to have their holiday as normal. Now I'm going to sit in a corner and grow grey hairs
ETA: Did I ever mention how much I hated being the "capable one" in the family?
