Time for.... a great big stonking rant

There has been some debate about this wonderful new vaccine that can prevent the papmillo (sp?) virus that (I understand) can lead to cervical cancer that in turn leads to all kinds of nasty things including death.

Now all sane people are now clapping their hands, singing and otherwise are quite happy about this. Parents of daughters are content that there is a medicine there that can actually REDUCE THE RISK OF THEIR DAUGHTER DYING! Because, y’know, most parents would consider this the main issue.

{a brief aside to my rant here: I realise some people may object to the vaccine on health grounds. I know there has been a lot of debate and questions about the safety of various vaccines. this rant is not about those parents who have reservations about vaccines for health reasons. I am not saying they are right or wrong because I simply don’t know enough about it.}

No, this is about our old adversary TEH STUPID. And boy has he been busy on this one. So far Teh Stupid has provided me with some truly classic idiocy
