Prattle and ramblings
Nov. 18th, 2005 10:02 pmTook a half day off work for crapness and projectile vomiting, chest X-ray (again) in 2 weeks (boss is impressed because I've managed to clock in so many units despite being DEAD and is happy for me to do so because he has DEAD employee's insurance and I'm listed).
Parents came round. Made me more dead. tried to make me take pills. Also started cleaning. The glare of death did not work. Do not clean my house, only I know the arcane code where everything belongs. And yes, we WANT to have to look for everything. If we didn't have to open 10 cupboards and rummage for 30mins to find everything we'd never realise how many cool things we own. Surely this is obvious?
My father has taken to calling me by my brother's name. I am charitably considering this to be drunkeness and not senility. But, helloooo, eldest born gets name rememberance rights! It is known!!!!
Called my boss a brutal murdering fascist 4 times today. Made me feel better.
Spoke to Hitler's Hidden Henchman who wants to meet up for a pub crawl. Should be fun, even if we do end up arguing. Despite the fact we should utterly hate each other and argue all the time, we get on really well. We also both earned each other 1st class honours degrees and special distinction awards (after all, research to earn a degree is boring. Reasearch to win an argument is passionate, detailed and dedicated). Contrary to insistant accusations, I am not Lenin's Lost Lovechild.
Mental note: Buy Christmas present to law lecturer who aided and abetted and refereed (and threw in new wildcards to consider/reasearch) our arguments even when that meant staying up to 3am in the uni bar still arguing despite having started at noon. He rocked. And we were geeks.
As can be seen from the rambling, I have healed sufficiently to be able to drink copious amounts of cidre. Added bonus: parental holiday to Portugal had them bring back a dozen different liquors for me. Including COFFEE BEAN AND CHOCOLATE LIQUOR!!!!!!!!!!! Life is good.
Have 3 prequel flashes instigated by Home of Usher, who will be punsihed for this. Am trying not to post them until timely moments are reached.
