I think that about a lot of these guys - why aren't they in politics?

It's too painful to laugh. I'm settling for sobbing in my coffee.

As I have no coffee, I am sobbing into my Dr. Pepper.

THIS is why I want to move to my Vati's home town of Koln. It seems less nutty there.

Although Richard is insisting upon London. Point is, America is going to hell in a fast car. *le sigh*

There was a great SNL skit that I watched with CoB this morning that you should see; it put "Palin" and "Clinton" up at the same podium and every time Palin said something, Clinton would verbally slap her. It was fantastic. Here's a link!

I saw it. I loled until I nearly died and then I became very very afraid

Yeah. I'm afraid too. The average low brow (lowest common denominator) American is on the rise, which means really that they are folks who work so hard for so long (without much education for a variety of reasons) to pay bills that are rising even faster and they therefore don't have the time or energy to do the research to figure out who the best candidate actually is... so they rely on the media sources that speak to them in their language - which is a well known public speaking tool in communicating with the masses. You learn their language if you want to gain respect. The "elite" moniker is always usable for democrats because they've mostly forgotten how to do that.

This is our reality... and there isn't much we can do about it in the present situation.

It's depressing that a man who is self-made and worked his way up and worked as a community activist is "elite" while a man who FORGOT HOW MANY HOUSES HE OWNED and thinks that people earning less than $5,000,000 a year are MIDDLE CLASS is considered one of the people *fears*

That was the best SNL skit. My friend Joan sent it to our group a bit ago, and I laughed something off, I'm sure of it.

Everytime I forget how much I adore Jon, I see something like this.
