... that Sparky appears to be absent. There are 3 words to explain this:

Blood Elf Mage

That is all.

Well not quite, because there is a moment of shock that is just inexcusable:

Behold the Blood Elf Mage. See the hunger in his eyes, the power in his hands and the magic in his blood. Gasp at his anger, his majesty and yea, even his beauty. Fall to your knees before his might, his will and his hair (got to love the hair). Behold his great staff, his flowing robes and his noble steed - the Chocobo.

CHOCOBO!

My elf is riding a damn chocobo!

When you picture an elf mage you do NOT picture a bloody WARKING awkward OSTRICH!

Can I at least breed a bloody BLUE one or have we replaced the Carrot on a Stick with Millet Greens?! *growl*

And what's worse is the cloth quartermaster in Silvermoon says "you just want a Sunstrider!" NO! I DON'T! I weant a fiery steed or an elegant unicorn or something with more dignity than a freaking EMU! *fume*

Wow. All the words, they are English...and yet the whole thing....

Would it help to run this post back and forth through Babelfish a few times?

Is there any particular reason you can't dye or paint the silly thing? Hang magic symbols from random feathers? Put a helmet on it with a dragon crest, for pity's sake? Something?

*lol* Dranei get elephants. :D

I'm LOVING TBC. Everyone wants me to tank 'cause the warriors have gone fury, and others have rerolled.

Staff of slumber. 550 armour weapon. 17k UNBUFFED armour. One VERY happy Nelf druid. Tho' sitting in /g explaining for the nth+100th time WHY druids can tank... GAH... Ppl don't believe that strangly, as a PC game, it runs on maths. Get the formulae and the skill, and, yes a druid out-tanks...

Plus a druid player who speaks English badly (OK, can cope with that) who thinks he knows everything and who I feel uncomfy around - he looked my RL name up on my guild app and now calls in me in whispers. This is WAY too familiar for me...

Sorry, druid rant mode again...

I'd try Belf or Dranei, but I can't play druid as them... Ian thinks the belf males are ugly... I think they're cute...

But MC/AQ/etc are now pointless. And I can't get an UBRS run to finish my damn green Qs...

Elephants?

Nah, that wouldn't work, elves on elephants.

Fury does look nice and I love TBC! I've only been playing my BE mage so far (so pretty! so very very very very very pretty! How can they be ugl;y! they're sooooo pretty and have vain pretty jokes!) And i've FINALLY got an elven mage (I've wanted one ever since I started WoW but the Nelfs gace me mucky looks)

Of course a druid can tank - is there any doubt? And the other druid player should be fed to the Belfs. We will suck the magic out of him.

But yeah, that's disturbing you may want to ignore him...

And I spend most of my time killing Nelfs :p

I don't think my poor Belf will ever have a chance at UBRS etc

Now now, they're cockatrices, not chocobos.

Blood elves riding around on cocks seems rather appropriate.

But...but... I like the giant technicolor chocobos!

I realize I am perhaps a minority in this. But they're loads better than the Giant Scampering Kodos, or the sheep. (Sheep! Noble dwarven warriors get overgrown sheep? At least horses aren't known for following each other off cliffs in the middle of the night, surly undead/demonic ones possibly aside.)

I haven't played WoW, but isn't there a spell to turn an enemy into a sheep?

"Yeah, this is the LAST guy who pissed me off...giddyup, Fluffy!"

There is! Adorable fluffy sheep! (Which, alas, you cannot stab and then skin for the wool and leather. Pity.)

yep, mages can - dwarfs can't though

but it is a useffffull spell. See enemy? instant MUTTON!

When my elf retires he's going to open an IUnn. He will turn tavern brawlers to sheep and serve them as food and he will serve an endless array of conjured drinks and be PAID for them for once!

technicolour chocobos *shudder*

yes., they are better than all the other horde mounts for a Blood elf (trhe kodos are just weird - how do they move that fast?) and better than the Gnomes mechanical toaster - I quite like the rams though

(no subject)

Date: 2007-01-25 08:41 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] fadethecat.livejournal.com
See, the mechanical gnome mount is my favorite mount in the whole game (flying ones I haven't seen up close yet possible aside), so I suspect it's a matter of taste. Some people want elegant; some... well.

I figure, hey, I'm already playing a fireball-tossing maniac in an odd dress, who's carrying a glowing stick around, and whose shoes make him smarter while his hat makes him better at dodging. So at this point, "giant technicolor chocobo" or "shaking mechanical ostrich" seems more appropriate than a nice understated pinto mare or sneering riding wolf.
