Ow, ow, ow
Dec. 14th, 2006 10:14 pmOwwwwwwww *whine*
Got the alcohol in and ready for Yule (and there is truly a scary amount of it. If all these bottles were broken the flow of booze would actually lend credence to Noah's flood - but with less wrathful drowning and a lot more conga dancing).
And then of course someone did suggest we try a few of the cocktails to see if they worked - after all, we don't want to waste our Saturnalia alcohol capacity on inferior cocktails, do we?
And then there was a debate about whether we had enough tequila and SOMEONE suggested that we see how much we could all drink in a night then we can use that as a basis for how much we will need (shut up, it seemed like a good idea at the time!)
Aaaaaanyway, i woke up this morning and had apparently caught a TERRIBLE disease and had to call in sick. Yes, yes I did. I'm sick, damn it. And suffering. What a terrible terrible illness.
And we're all going to kill the teetoller for malicious use of frying bacon when we're all... ill.

Or 2.
In fact, i think 3 are in order...
I can't remember the reason any more, so another drink is certainly in order.
Another drink? Why, what a good idea.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Effects_of_alcohol_on_the_body
Eight to ten drinks per hour is considered a fatal dosage for the average 54 kg (119 lb.) person. One drink is equivalent to one shot of 40% abv (80 proof) liquor, one 12 US fl oz (355 ml) beer, or one 4–5 US fl oz (120–150 ml) glass of wine.
So if you take 119 and divide it by 6 you get 1 shot for 19.83 pounds so using this formula: W divided by 19.83 you get the amount for one person for one hour. I'm 260 so that's 13 ounces per hour for a 12 hour party so you better have 156 ounces of booze just for me. A US gallon is 128 ounces. :)
Just get everyone's weight and you should have no problems....OH WAIT....
