Or so i thought when I saw all the little white piles around the living room. Then i discovered beloved horrifically abusing my beautiful writing desk and using my fountain pens (and all my letter head paper).

Me: What are you doing?
Beloved: *growl* trying to write a letter
Me: Ok, you have destroyed my pen and wasted half a tree of expensive stationery. Why?
Beloved: Shoddy equipment.
Me: It's a pen and paper. What more do you need?
Beloved: A paper pad with a spell checker, delete key, cut & paste facility, and preferably underline, bold, italics and tabbing
Me: Computer whore. Do you want me to do it for you?
Beloved: Away with you and your obsolete lawyer skills!
Me: Fine I'll just sit here and snark *evil grin*

All those times he mocked my virus plagued computer? This is karma.

Do you know what I would pay for Crane stationary that included a spell checker? The cut&paste facility would be a minor upgrade, but spellchecking? I would swoon.

That is too cute :)

Not that I don't emphasise with your Beloved. I barely know how to write at all without a keyboard - but then I hated writing by hand before, so for me, computers meant liberation.

Not to harsh your snarky groove or anything, but the worst he'll have to do is replace a pen and paper. Your computer could be sending spam to millions of people. Karma will have to do some catching up!

Given how expensive nice pens are - and I suspect Spark has one - you're looking upwards of £80.... Minimum...

ah, he's not using my BESTEST pen. Because then he knows I would have to kill him. he is not to touch the BESTEST pen. not now. Not ever.

I am getting out of the habit but I still write enough to keep my talent alive. He is hopeless.

heh, i still get snarky goodness points because it's EXPECTED for people to mess up a computer :)

for some reason this needs to be handwritten.

He is muttering something about having to fit horseshoes to a car...

Just make sure he uses glue and not nails. I'm sure traffic's bad enough without 4 flat tires

Years of pen and paper roleplaying have left me with small, neat, legible hand printing.

Years of being a grammar and spelling nazi have left me with the ability to not need to edit what I write, much.

I carefully guard my aging twenty-five cent Bic mechanical pencils, because they feel good in my hand and use .7mm graphite which is getting harder and harder to find.

I'm not sure what any of this has to do with anything, I'm very tired and think I shall sleep.

I *love* fountain pens for when I have to take pen to paper for something I feel strongly about. I have a Mont Blanc that I got from a software vendor 15 years ago that is my absolute favorite.

For anything less than that, I absolutely love Pentel P205 mechanical pencils which I became addicted to in my brief tenure as an architecture student. All I really came away with from that experience was a love of the P205 and a very neat, fairly distinctive style of printing.

I really hope he didn't destroy your pen!

yep, I hate biros - I have my BESTEST pen and another couple of dozen fountain pens for general scribbles. he ink flows better

I don't love pencils much - I avoid them, preferring pen and crossing out

he destroyed one of my spares. he would be dead now if he destroyed my bestest pen

Koh-I-Nor!

A good plotter can do 'handwriting' well and there are fonts...

Ok, I can replace those with the pornographic fonts. :-P

I must find a useless employer to send a resignation letter in that would cause some consternation. ;-)

A very dear friend would put jokes, pictures and other sillyness in the border of legal documents submitted to the court. The area that is called for by the court rules as a margin that was to have nothing official in it.
