Questionnaire #22 -- Dreams
What is your favorite dream?
The blissfully ignorant dreams - those where I am not a sorcerer, I have no darkness, and am at peace with myself and the world.
What is your worst nightmare?
I have many nightmares - some of the horrors I will commit, some of the horrors I have committed. Sometimes realms of hell and pain intrude into my thoughts, and at times daemons try to prey upon my dreams. It can create some truly horrific images.
But the worst are my peaceful dreams, my ignorant dreams. The joy and happiness they bring make waking up so much more crushing; so much more painful that I can do little but weep come the morn.
Do you dream in colour?
Yes.. usually in lurid shades of red.
Do you have recurring dreams? If so, what?
Yes - I dream of David - of his last moments often. Most of my victims have recurring parts in my dreams, but David is the most frequent on the mental stage.
How do you keep bad dreams away?
I drink. If I drink enough, my sleep may be blessed with oblivion. I can command daemons and similar entities to leave me in peace but I am loath to do so. I don't want to calm infernal entities for any reason.
What did you dream last night?
I dreamed of Rich, of lying peacefully in his arms. It was a strange dream. We were at peace on his bed when a daemon appeared before us. The room changed to a scene of nightmares, my victims strapped to the most vile of torture devices; their screams were so... haunting. The daemon waved to them, smiled at me and bowed... it bowed and called me master, and reached out a hand for a blessing from me.
I stood still, unable to move, and Rick moved in the way. It had two endings.
In one, Rick shouted at the daemon and glowed with a pure white light that drove the creature away and silenced the screams of the afflicted.
In the other, Rick shouted his anger, and the daemon laughed. With a flick of one clawed hand it ripped him open, leaving him bleeding and dying among the afflicted. The daemon touched me, and I stood over Rick's body and laughed...

Clothed or Naked?
*shrugs* it is cold without clothes. And besides, it causes far too much commotion to be a viable option.
Loud or Quiet?
Quiet - it's a rapidly diminishing resource in this world.
Rain or Snow?
Neither, if possible. Rain, if I must. Snow is colder than rain, and usually stays around longer.
Happy or Sad?
Do I deserve happiness? Are the people I destroyed happy? Their families? Their grieving survivors? No, I am sad, and it is well deserved.
Boots or Shoes?
Shoes... boots are constricting and heavy.
Ant or Caterpillar?
Odd choice... caterpillar. It doesn't sting or bite. And becomes a butterfly... I like butterflies.

What is your comfort food?
Whiskey. In a large bottle.
When do you reach for it?
far too often

The tacky, thick, warm feeling of blood. Because part of me likes it too much.

Fur, soft, thick fur. I remember being wrapped in it once, when I was small. I was safe then and... happy.

Fresh baked bread and home cooking. Something new, it reminds me of happier times.

#25 - clothing / appearance
Are you vain?
Hah?! What about me is worth being vain about?
How important is your outward appearance?
Not at all - what does a monster care about his looks? Better I look hideous to warn people away.
Do you notice how other people look and what they are wearing?
Usually I see when people have made utter mistakes with their wardrobe and are sorely lacking in even the basic rules of style. Some people are utterly beyond help. Not that I care though. I just notice.
Describe your favourite outfit.
Tight black linen trousers. Black silk shirt (long sleeved), thin black leather gloves. Black socks (cotton), black dress shoes. My collection of wards, though naturally out of sight. Black sunglasses with a silver or gold frame if the sun is too bright and the whiskey I drank the night beforew is... disagreeing with me.
Describe your mate's (best friend, etc) favourite outfit if they were to choose it.
Given that Rick is sorely lacking in even a vague pretension of taste, I would say something in bright colours or faded pastels. No doubt with some music group's name and logo daubed all over it or some supposedly witty phrase he feels the need to share with the world. The colours will, of course, both clash and be completely uncomplimentary for the complexion of the wearer. The clothes will be ill fitting and uncomfortable as a truly unpleasant flourish to finish the ensemble.
I believe Rick's sense of style is part of my eternal punishment.
Describe your favourite outfit to see your mate (best friend, etc.) in.
He is richly tanned so looks good in bronze, brown and umber. Blue suits him well, as does yellow and gold.
I would choose rich brown trousers - never jeans, chinos would work. A dark gold shirt to set off his skin tone and golden blonde hair. Accent with blue - a sapphire blue tie with a lapis lazuli tie pin would be perfect - and I could die happy watching him.

#26 - sleep
Where do you sleep?
Recently, Rick's bed. He has indulged himself flagrantly with an extremely comfortable matress and a truely decadent excess of pillows and blankets.
When do you sleep (time of day)?
Usually when exhaustion catches up with me. Normally between 9am to 1pm
How many hours a day of sleep do you need?
More than I get. Though in truth my power seems to be an equal substitute for sleep, if I did not wear the wards I would not sleep at all. It is true, the old addage - evil never sleeps.
What's your favourite position to sleep in?
Unless I have passed out, I rarely stay in the same position. So says Rick. At length. And great volume.
What do you wear to sleep?
My wards. Usually little else - a pair of silk boxer shorts if I can remember.
Do you like a lot of covers, or a few, or none at all?
I prefer some insulation, despite what you may have heard of England, New York is substantially colder.
#27 - Life and Death
Who (or what) do you live for?
I shouldn't live for anything. My life will bring nothing but pain. The only reason I am not dead is my own cowardice.
Who (or what) would you die for?
I put the world at risk by living! I am too much of a coward to die for anything...
except... maybe Ric- no. Nothing, people will sacrifice for noble causes, I am too tainted for such honourable action.
In general, what do people think of you upon first impression?
Hah, to quote Rick "broody angsty goth." If only they knew.
What do people think of you after they get to know you better?
Usually by that time they are screaming in pain and cursing that they ever knew me. The few who have spent any length of time in my company speak of pity. They should not waste their pity on me.
If you were to die right now, today, what kind of legacy would you leave behind?
One of fear and relief. Fear of my memory, and, since I am a necromancer, fear that I might return. Relief that I am dead, relief that I will destroy no more.
What kind of legacy would you *want* to leave behind?
Nothing. I want no legacy. If I am forgotten, that means my horrors were not so bad, the terror and pain I caused was far less than expected...

Do you have any chronic or acute medical conditions?
Does dark magick count?
What are they?
Darkness within that drives me to evil and gives me the power to be worse than you can possibly imagine.
Do you take medication (or any type of curative) for them?
Nothing can cure it. Just death. I take whiskey for that. I suppose my wards count, the hold back the worst of my excesses.
How do you feel about taking the medication/curative?
Unless it's an overdose it will solve nothing. The wards are necessary, but agonisingly painful.
What happens if you don't take the medication/curative?
Things die... in unpleasant ways.
I feel... free and happy and joyous. It scares me.
Who is your doctor/healer?
In truth, it is Rick who has treated most of my wounds recently. He is surprisingly skilled.

Do you like children?
No. It hurts so much more to see the empty eyes of your last victim in the face of one so young.
Do you have children?
No
Do you want to have children?
I am gay, children aren't really on the radar. Besides, I doubt very much that an infernal, necromantic sorcerer would make a good father... though considering many children I might be able to understand them better.
What is your earliest childhood memory?
I was very small... I sta under the moon and felt her power through me. The first time, and knew I was part of everything and was loved... *fights tears*
Who was your favourite person when you were a child?
I cannot chose one alone. My mother was so pure and kind, she was light given flesh. My father was bold and strong, a rock in the storm, a primal force who could and would do any and all I needed of him. My sister was laughter and joy, surrounded by a reality that bent to please her. They were all wonderful. They are lost to me.
Name one thing that made it clear to you that were no longer a child. How old were you at the time?
I was 6. It was my pathlighting. When the signs were read and in horror, my kin realised what they had spawned, then I knew I was no longer a child. I was a monster.

Can you ride a bike?
Once... but I have not done so since I was 6 years old.
Can you drive? If so, what?
No, it was never considered necessary I learn given that my death was planned from my 6th birthday.
Can you swim?
Yes... I think so, though I have not done so in many years.
Can you fly?
With my power yes - I can sprout the wings of a daemon, or simply ride on currents of my own energy.
Can you fight?
Unfortunately, yes. Dark magick is an incredibly dangerous and potent force.
Can you lead?
No. Many people can sense my darkness and fear it instinctively, without knowing why. Others see my pain and shy away. More still see taht I am short and slight and dismiss me as useless. How wrong they are.
Questionnaire #32 -- Either/Or take two
Would you rather...
1. Eat an endless amount or photosynthesize?
Eat I suppose... I dislike the sun and and besides, I'm very pale. I imagine photosynthesis wouldn't be worth the sunburn.
2. Hold your breath indefinitely or make yourself turn blue?
I can already do the former, or refrain from breathing altogether. Turn blue? That would not match any of my clothes.
3. Learn sign language or talk without moving your lips?
I see little need of either for me. Perhaps if I used one or other it might be possible to stop Rick talking for five minutes, or at least get a word in edgeways. Though I believe that requires divine intervention.
4. Keep your eyes open without blinking or be able to turn off your hearing?
Keep my eyes open - when I close my eyes I see images and memories I would rather not confront. Without sound to distract me I am left with the silence that haunts.
5. Fly or walk through solid matter?
I can do both...
that's not exactly true - it doesn;t count when you melt or vapourise something then walk through where it's been
6. Live forever and stay young or be reincarnated with your old memories?
If I lived forever the world would be doomed. But I would not relish reincarnation if I must remember what I have done in this life... but some people, some I would want to remember.

Are you poor, rich, or in between?
My life is suffering, I have no hope and wake every morning wishing I had the strength to kill myself.

Oh. I have a decent amount of money in a series of bank accounts, but I rarely use it except in the off-license. There is very little I wish to buy.

Growing up were you poor, rich or in between?
In money? *laughs* Probably quite poor - but since everyone in my family is a potent magick user of some form, we wanted for very little. Who needs cash when you can conjure or transmute whatever you want?
Is money important to you?
No, no material possessions can stop the pain.
How do you acquire money?
I do not spend it. It tends to... accumulate. I also move a great deal and change my identity often. Since most of my purchases are done by credit card that tends to mean money doesn't bother me much.

My wards. They are made out of solid silver and it costs a great deal to recast them every time they burn out or melt.

My wards. They keep me safe from myself and others safe from me. The pain they cause is such a small price to pay.

Do you nap frequently?
No, I have too many nightmares to reach sleep easily. I spend a considerable amount of time unconscious though.
Where is your favourite place to do so?
I'd rather not fall unconscious at all, personally.
Are you lazy, or active? Somewhere in between?
I do nothing, because nothing I do will achieve anything.
What time do you do your best work?
Work? I don't think I do... my greatest works are achieved without my wards - but those would hardly count as 'best' by anyone's standards. Or not by anyone I would wish to meet.
Would you rather work, play, or relax?
Relax - peace is an underrated comodity. I also wish to say that anyone who answers "work" to this question is lying, self-dellusional or needs a hobby.
What is your favourite way to relax?
I don't... often. Really.
In Rick's arms I... find something close to peace.
What is your favourite play activity?
*extremely cruel predatory grin* Rick. If I need to elaborate, you are probably too innocent or niaeve to want to hear it.
#35 - random 2 -
Have you ever touched a dolphin?
Several times my sister conjured their image and form in the lake on our estate, we used to ride them then fly upwards on wings my aunt gave them. It was a wonderful time.
Do you like the feeling of silk?
Silk is the very essence of style.
What's your favourite fruit?
The fruits that we had back home, they grew in no other place on Earth, for they needed constant magickal attention to flourish.
What's your favourite movie? (Favourite story/tale if you live in a world where there are no movies)
I don't visit the pictures often, I don't like crowds of people. I fear what I might do.
What is your favourite type of storm (ie, hurricane, thunderstorm, etc)?
I love all storms, they are so powerful and cleansing. I fear sometimes I might loose control and try and corrupt them, turn them to darkness. But some things are beyond even my tainted touch.
Have you ever been so tired you fell asleep sitting or standing? What circumstances led to this?
Several times... many of which were when I had to endure my uncle's... usage. Times I will not relate. I pass out frequently after lonmg battles trying to hold back my magick - it comes easily when called and is always ready, but fighting it gets harder every year...

What is your favourite sound?
Running water - it... lulls me, and helps me clear my head.
What is your favourite thing to touch?
Rick - every time I touch him, I remind myself he is not a dream, that he is not a brief dellusion sent to torment me.

The country... I don't know how to explain it, but when you ride upon the moors eventually you find yourself in a place without people, or their scars on the land. You breathe in and... well, that is the smell.
What is your favourite taste?
I'm not much of a food or drink person. I would say whiskey, except most of the stuff available doesn't exactly have a taste, and the rest quite foul.
What is your favourite sight?
Rick, in the morning. As I wake and see he is still there, alive, and well.
Which of your senses is your favourite?
My darksight. I can see the taint of darkness and death on things, the shadow that all things carry, how advanced it is, and what form it takes.

Can you cook?
Rick has a microwave. Surely everyone can cook using a microwave?

What kind of food do you normally eat?
I often forget. My power can sustain me without food if necessary. Anything I happen to see when I remember I haven't eaten recently.
What food is a special treat (like for a birthday)?
I have had few treats for a long time. Traditional foods that remind me of home.

It helps... sometimes I can forget.

Frequently... it causes me to loose control of my power, my wards offer little protection when I am unable to fight as well... Someone usually suffers.

Fervantly promising never to get drunk again. It never works.

Do you wear a watch? Describe it.
No, I never need to know what time it is.
Are you usually early, late or just on time?
Early, punctuality is the virtue of princes.
Where do you lose time? Bookstores? Computers? Talking on the phone?
When I meditate, after all I am supposed loose track of outside issues.
What is your favourite time of day?
The heart of the night, when most people sleep and the darkness reigns strong and pulses with power.
What one thing do you spend most of your time on besides sleep?
Mourning. And suffering. The pain of the wards never ends, the pain of my heart and soul makes them insignificant.
If you could travel through time, 'when' would you go to?
Back to my pathlighting. I would do what my family failed to.

Have you ever witnessed a crime?
Yes... the worst acts of humanity are no secret to me. I can't think of a crime I have not seen, experienced, or commited.
Have you ever commited a crime?
Yes. Soemtimes I can't control the darkness... and people suffer.
Have you ever been wrongly accused of a crime?
Impossible. What could people possibly accuse me of that is worse than what I've actually done?
Have you ever been arrested?
Sometimes... I fear most law enforcement agencies lack the... resources to incarcerate a sorcerer.
Have you ever been to jail/received punishment?
Police have trouble making me stay in an overnight cell, they've never yet succeeded to drag me to a court - though, of course, not all justice systems feel the need for that "formality" before condemning you... I usually leave them sooner and in a more... dramatic fashion.
What's the worst thing you've ever "gotten away with"?
Murder. multiple times. Hah, the bodies have piled high, yet opnly my conscience has levied its sanction.
well, it's sanction can be considered a good deal harsher than the punishments of most legal systems

*shrugs* it doesn't matter, I don't really care. If I must choose, I would prefer to look older than I do.

Nothing... except maybe the clothes he wears. He's already the image of perfection.

Me. I would be mundane, powerless and free.

One thing? There has never been "one thing" unless you count being born with this vile power. Not ending it before I could cause any damage? Not killing people I loved and cared about? Would it have made any difference...?

Meeting Rick... no, that's a lie, it made me feel better, freer and happier than I ever have, but I thought the same about David, and still remember the pain when he... when I *chokes slightly*

I don't know. I'm unwilling to deny the principle, but if it happened I would suspect love or lust potion, or possibly some mind control before unaided love. Of course, I gave my heart to Rick very quickly...

Yes. Rick is my only reason for living. Without him I'd be dead, or the cause of mass death.
Is anyone in love with you?
Rick... I hope. No, I know.
Has anyone ever broken your heart?
Yes, I did. I loved someone, or may have... his name was David and... well, I think you know by now, and it pains me to keep repeating it.
What is the best thing about being in love?
The rest of the world, with its pain, its troubles and its darkness can all fade into nothing for those few sweet minutes wiuth your loved one. I value that beyond words.
What is the worst thing about being in love?
By giving your heart to someone, you give them to tools to hurt you in ways no triturer or hated, vengeful foe could ever possibly achieve.

A few times, to try and deaden the pain... it didn't work, it merely loosened my control. I stick to alcohol now.

Constantly. I search for answers I can never find, and peace that ever eludes me.

Yes, in some of my deeper meditations... Sometimes if I wish to reach the lands of the dead or the infernal planes, the easiest way is astral projection through a trance.

If the above count, then yes, otherwise no. I think I cause enough damage on this plane of existance, don't you?

Where do you sleep?
Recently, Rick's bed. He has indulged himself flagrantly with an extremely comfortable matress and a truely decadent excess of pillows and blankets.
When do you sleep (time of day)?
Usually when exhaustion catches up with me. Normally between 9am to 1pm
How many hours a day of sleep do you need?
More than I get. Though in truth my power seems to be an equal substitute for sleep, if I did not wear the wards I would not sleep at all. It is true, the old addage - evil never sleeps.
What's your favourite position to sleep in?
Unless I have passed out, I rarely stay in the same position. So says Rick. At length. And great volume.

My wards. Usually little else - a pair of silk boxer shorts if I can remember.

I shouldn't live for anything. My life will bring nothing but pain. The only reason I am not dead is my own cowardice.

I put the world at risk by living! I am too much of a coward to die for anything...
except... maybe Ric- no. Nothing, people will sacrifice for noble causes, I am too tainted for such honourable action.

What do people think of you after they get to know you better?
Usually by that time they are screaming in pain and cursing that they ever knew me. The few who have spent any length of time in my company speak of pity. They should not waste their pity on me.
If you were to die right now, today, what kind of legacy would you leave behind?
One of fear and relief. Fear of my memory, and, since I am a necromancer, fear that I might return. Relief that I am dead, relief that I will destroy no more.

Nothing. I want no legacy. If I am forgotten, that means my horrors were not so bad, the terror and pain I caused was far less than expected...

What are they?
Darkness within that drives me to evil and gives me the power to be worse than you can possibly imagine.

Nothing can cure it. Just death. I take whiskey for that. I suppose my wards count, the hold back the worst of my excesses.
How do you feel about taking the medication/curative?
Unless it's an overdose it will solve nothing. The wards are necessary, but agonisingly painful.
What happens if you don't take the medication/curative?
Things die... in unpleasant ways.
I feel... free and happy and joyous. It scares me.
Who is your doctor/healer?
In truth, it is Rick who has treated most of my wounds recently. He is surprisingly skilled.

I was very small... I sta under the moon and felt her power through me. The first time, and knew I was part of everything and was loved... *fights tears*

I cannot chose one alone. My mother was so pure and kind, she was light given flesh. My father was bold and strong, a rock in the storm, a primal force who could and would do any and all I needed of him. My sister was laughter and joy, surrounded by a reality that bent to please her. They were all wonderful. They are lost to me.
Name one thing that made it clear to you that were no longer a child. How old were you at the time?
I was 6. It was my pathlighting. When the signs were read and in horror, my kin realised what they had spawned, then I knew I was no longer a child. I was a monster.

Eat I suppose... I dislike the sun and and besides, I'm very pale. I imagine photosynthesis wouldn't be worth the sunburn.

I can already do the former, or refrain from breathing altogether. Turn blue? That would not match any of my clothes.

I see little need of either for me. Perhaps if I used one or other it might be possible to stop Rick talking for five minutes, or at least get a word in edgeways. Though I believe that requires divine intervention.

Keep my eyes open - when I close my eyes I see images and memories I would rather not confront. Without sound to distract me I am left with the silence that haunts.

I can do both...

If I lived forever the world would be doomed. But I would not relish reincarnation if I must remember what I have done in this life... but some people, some I would want to remember.

In money? *laughs* Probably quite poor - but since everyone in my family is a potent magick user of some form, we wanted for very little. Who needs cash when you can conjure or transmute whatever you want?

No, no material possessions can stop the pain.
How do you acquire money?
I do not spend it. It tends to... accumulate. I also move a great deal and change my identity often. Since most of my purchases are done by credit card that tends to mean money doesn't bother me much.

Yes... the worst acts of humanity are no secret to me. I can't think of a crime I have not seen, experienced, or commited.
