Well, that caught me by surprise
Jun. 5th, 2006 06:09 pmWhere did Sandi Thom suddenly appear from? And where has she been hiding?
It's rare for me to even like anything that hits no. 1 in this era of pop idol, but her I Wish I was a Punk Rocker (With Flowers In My Hair) is incredible.

When he was young and political there was a sense you could actually get something done, that someone was listening.

generally i don't mind being out since it's all pop idoly :)

I love her - or at least this song. I liked it when I first heard it. But the more I listened to it the more I loved it. She has virtually NO accompaniment throughout. Some drums, that's it. I think that';s a sign of true talent that a singer can manage that and sound good.
It's a little anglo-centric but it's still good. I'll email you the track to klgaffney@livejournal.com

It's been stuck in my head for 3 days now - and for the first time ever it's not annoying me.
