Well, euthanasia is assisted suicide. On the side of, when is suicide a mercy? I'd say when literally life has nothing left of value to justify the torture endured.
What utterly depresses me is the people who maybe mistaken for gothic angst queens (as I ranted about) but really have actual medical, mental conditions, such as depression who need help and treatment, but fall through the cracks or are ignored or ridiculed because they are confused with the angsters.
