I’ve been a little less active than usual lately. This is not because of disaster!

And how novel is that? I mean, no disaster? (well except the ongoing bosses are arseholes and someone hit me and so much in the world sucks disaster, but that’s more background noise than disaster)

No I just have a little more work to do at the moment than anticipated. it’s not in a “I’m working every second of the day and will collapse” work load just generaly a bit heavy causing me to rescale. I predict it will be over in a week

So what’s happening and what’d I miss?

Glad to know you're okay!

Eh, work's eating me up and I'm having a bit of writer's block and a general "questioning" phase, apparently. I'm a bit beside myself but I'm doing fine.

Oh, and Germany's Bundesverfassungsgericht recently declared some parts of the Transsexuellengesetz (= "law about the change of first name and determination of gender identity in special cases") as unconstitutional and therefore void. Which means that until the law is rewritten trans people cannot be forced anymore to undergo sterilisation and genital surgery in order to have their gender legally recognised. I'm torn between the urge to celebrate and bitter sarcasm ("whoo, a tiny step away from forced sterilisation, IN 2011 NO LESS, I'm so grateful for finally being granted basic human rights like the cis people OMG.")
