Welllll, we can't disclose any information that would incriminate the client - because they're our client after all and that's like Rule no. 2 in the BIG BOOK o' ETHICS
But you can't exactly tell them to take it home. I've actually found the police to be....irritated but understanding about the whole "uh, I've got some crack here. Please pick it up, my clients are crazy enough."
Admittedly the gun threw everyone a bit more - but thankfully I could reveal more about it
