In the myriad and odd world of publishing....

how did THIS get published? http://vandonovan.livejournal.com/1088311.html?style=mine

I boggle. I mean, I see no ends of people fighting with publishers, struggle to get published, have their works mauled by publishers - and then they let THIS through the net?

Seriously I didn't think prose could be that purple. It's virtually ultra-violet. I am AMAZED that the book doesn't spontaneously combust (into purple flames). It's kind of awe inspiring...

*gigggling* 'cause 15 yrs ago, the standards for fantasy were virtually non-existent, which is why people turn their noses up at it now. altho i have to say, even by those non-existent standards, i'm still wondering who he knew and what did he do for them that got this book sold. =D

My God, that's awful. Everything has at least three similes, and there's a tense change on the second page. Was this self-published, or was the author banging someone? I mean, really, it makes Twilight look good.

Words fail me....possibly because the twit used them all.

*gasps for air*

You have killed me. You better show up at my funeral, dammit.

Good gravy.

"She was naked and her body was beautiful." Only it took two pages to say that. Blargh.
