The diary of the zombie apocalypse

Day 1: Zombie apoaclypse? Hee that's fun. And funny. I love it.

Day 2: Ok it's kinda fun, quite love it

Day 3: Well it is new and different...

Day 4: *sigh* just once I'd like to log on and NOT be dead from zombies

Day 5: Whoa? Where's the auctionhouse NPCS? Damn it I have things to sell!

Day 6: Right, is this Black Temple raid ready to go? WHat, ZOMBIES?! NOOOOOO! (yes, some damn ZOMBIES did more damage to us than ILLIDAN managed)

Day 7: (seen in General) EVERYONE OUT OF SHATTRATH THE ZOMBIES HAVE TAKEN OVER (upon arrival I find that the Shttrath npcs have been decimated and staying in the city for 5 seconds will result in infection)

Day 8: BY ALL THE GODS BLIZZARD THIS HAS TO STOP!

Grrrr. The novelty has worn off. Can we please be stopping now?

I'm of the opinion that Blizzard has been paid off by the CDC to replicate the Corrupted Blood Pandemic so they can do some testing of infectious disease theories.

Yes, it is getting rather old. Particularly with the Zombie Plague time clock being cut down to one minute in the cities.

On one hand, it's really neat to have players with the ability to actually make real changes in the game world, however temporary.

On the other hand, it's getting fairly insane.

The Devs have said it won't last much longer, though - personally, I was half hoping it'd last (and progress more slowly!) until the expansion hit.

You are not alone! Zombies have been all over the place lately! Today went to my second Zombie Walk in less than a month. Then earlier this week we played "Humans" by Twilight Creations, (a game where you are a zombie looking for humans to eat or infect) and then I had to spend hours online Wednesday looking for Zombie shirts for a friends birthday! Novelty hasn't worn off yet, but it's heading in that direction!

I'm surprised they didn't schedule it to ramp way up and peak on Friday.

Perhaps oddly, the 'zombie apocalypse' event isn't tied to Hallowe'en - it's just coincidence that it's happening at roughly that time. It's tied to the release of the upcoming expansion and the return of the Lich King to prominence.

So it started about the middle of last week, and peaked on Sunday, with the cure being made available this morning and things going back to normal slowly.

The infections part, anyway, seems to be stopped. Praise Elune! If I'da wanted PVP, prolly I'da signed up for a PVP server. I'm old, I'm slow, I can't do the player-smackdown thing like young people these days.

It was fun - but it just lasted too long, gthat was the problem. The event went on for too long and was just too annoying

I....actually really enjoyed the Zombiepocolypse... then again, I survived the Corrupted Blood and knew what to do (other than sit on top of the Argent Healers' heads while in cities).

My friends were acting like the sky was falling (Kirin Tor is an RP server), ic and ooc. My Guild (PVP/RP) had a blast. My character and her in-game husband fled to the wilderness, with food, plenty of fluid (and plenty of booze), and avoided other people. It was great, and made for great RP. And I found something out...

I was able to fund my Horde alt's epic-ground mount with gold from my Alliance main, tax-free. Her in-game husband became a Zombie, my main became a Zombie, and I did a trade for 1000g with him, able to speak in /s. It was great. :D

It was interesting - but it went on for too long IMO, especially since our guild wanted to see as much end game content as we could before the expansion and this kept getting in our way

LOl, exploit!
