sparkindarkness: (STD)

Now recently as I said my router died. In the process of deciding it was the router that was the problem, we got out the BIG BOX O’ WIRES! *clash of thunder, doom music*. Every wire any electrical appliance, computer periphery, charger has needed or produced has gone into this huge tangled mass that now regards us all with malice and evil intent.

Well, now we have a new router, BIG BOX O’ WIRED *clash of thunder, doom music* needs to be returned to the pit from whence it came…

Beloved: What, what WHAT are you doing?

Sparky: Ugh, new rule – you’re never to Sassy Gay Friend me again.

Beloved: What’s that?

Sparky: The BIG BOX O’WIRES *clash of thunder, doom music* I’m chaining it back in its cupboard.

Beloved: No – I mean that

Sparky: Oh, the wires from the older router of course

Beloved: Nooooo, I mean THAT

Sparky: Uh, the old router?

Beloved: The broken one? The one that is dead? The one that we cannot make work no matter what?

Sparky: Yes…

Beloved: WHY ARE WE KEEPING IT!?

Sparky: It may be fixed…

Beloved: By what? Router fairies in our cupboards? Electronic leprechauns?

Sparky: It COULD be

Beloved: Look at your life, look at your choices

Sparky: *throws router at him*

Beloved:  *dodges* *watches it bounce down stairs* See? It’s definitely broken now

Sparky: But now it’s your fault

Beloved: It was broken, you were going to hoard it, then you threw it down the stairs – but it’s my fault it’s dead?

Sparky: Glad you agree.

Beloved: *huffs*

Beloved has also brought in enough booze to drown an army squadron. I approve muchly. Well sensible brain is pointing out alcohol is an awful cructh and really, it is the worst possible way to deal with issues and problems and a bad habit that I thought I was working through and past and blah blah blahdy blah – now pass the damn drink already. 2011 sucks and February sucks more.

Should I be worried that Sensible Brain has learned the role of “add the disclaimer of why what we’re doing is silly and we shouldn’t be doing it” and act like the disclaimer is sufficient? Sensible brain no longer controls actions, only provides PSAs.

I also have happy pills for Monday. I am ambivalent about this.
