Bonfire night
Nov. 6th, 2009 02:51 amPlaying in the fire and dancing in the light.
I do so like this day. It's probably one of the few days that is just very very British. And it's kind of delightfully eccentric too because it's such a silly reason to have a holiday, really. (I am vaguely amused by several British friends all independently of their own back chose to inform questioning foreigners that it was a celebration of an attempted terrorist)
Still it's very late but we have firew works and pretty lights and amazing fires. It's our day, even if it is silly
