The plan of attack!
Jan. 27th, 2009 05:33 pmTurkey has been carefully and neatly jointed (or hacked into chunks, depending on your assessment of my butchering skills) and plan has been made! Stock and soup is happily simmering away
Day 1: TURKEY with all the trimmings. Wrap in bacon, roast. Serve with yams, courgettes, parsnip, turnip, roast spuds (in goose fat), sprouts, broccoli and maybe some cauliflower. NOM NOM NOM
Mental note: Probably too many vegetables. Plan for this.
Day 2: Honey and Lemon Turkey
NB: home made lemon sauce. Nom.
Day 3: Turkey Chasseur. Serve with Bubble and Squeak (AHA, left hover vegetables! I have plans for you!)
NB: Use up half bottle of red wine.
Day 4: Turkey Lasagne. (LOVES Lasagne. NOM NOM NOM)
NB: less tomato puree and basil in sauce - too strong for turkey).
Day 5: Cold Turkey, salad, pickles, freshly baked bread still warm.
Day 6: Leftover stew. BIG pot. Everything in it. Cook Sloooooooowly
BRING it Turkey, I'm ready for you!
