As I ahev said, beloved has a tendency to like gadgets. He gets gadgets we don't use or need (and usually end up storing them somewhere) and if he DOES get something we need it is usually something that is far in excess of our needs - so if he buys a grill it will be the kind used by chefs in restaurants when they're cooking for 200 people - that kind of thing.
Today the new printer he ordered arrived. Yes, we do need a new printer so I'm not going to complain.
Except this was what arrived:

To the best of my knowledge we are not an office employing 80 people or more. As such I find this machine rather... in excess of our needs.
This must be discussed. At length.
