You may want to opt out of this - it's nice that LJ tells you how to opt out and gives us that option to not have our journals tracked in this fashion - but considerably less nice that they haven't felt the need to post this in NEWS so people may miss it.

After all, news is far too busy with endless advertising to bother with piffling things like tracking cookies.
