Dear lady who felt the need to roar into a parking space at speeds that even Schumacher would hesitate at. Yes, the lady who charged in as fast as possible and slammed the breaks on at the last minute; yes, the lady who was going so fast she didn’t even see that there was someone stood in the parking spot - well done lady, you just hit a lawyer. Sucks to be you.

You should have killed me while you had the chance *dramatic gestures of revenge*

It’s not like the car park wasn’t EMPTY given it was the middle of the night (though kudos for trying to park under a street light - kudos removed for not seeing the guy who was stood UNDER A STREET LIGHT) so you had to rush to secure a spot and push all obstacles away.

Extra minus points for driving a damn 4X4 - unless you’re into off roading, there is really no need for these petrol guzzling, road hogging pedestrian killing monstrosities.

She was only parking, even if stupidly, so methinks the worst I have are bruises - but she got my suit dirty!

For this she must pay.

Mr being_here has had death threats from the opposition's clients in the past, but no one has tried to run him over yet.

Can the suit be saved?

(and are you ok?)

Bloody hell Sparky! Are you in one piece? Are your creative and typing capabilities unimpaired (cos after all, they're the bits of you we are all interested in - the rest is just window dressing)? Seriously, hope you're ok. Sue her - she deserves it.

Bloody woman! I think a letter threatening legal action might insert the fear of God :)

weren't we just talking about your suits?

it's unbelieavable. things like that never sound like they're real because you think: "who could be that stupid? hell, who could be that blind??"

poor thing. ~hug~ are you sure you only have bruises?

Oops.

I hope you are OK... Your beloved will have Things To Say if you're damaged I bet... (Tho' remember to wrangle soothing massages out of it...)

I hope the suit's OK - I recall you prefer expensive clothing... ;)

At least write her a letter with LOTS of legal terms essentially saying you want the dry cleaning costs and an apology deep within the legalese... And then charge her for your services when she needs it translating... ;)

possibly she threatened to sue for discrimination because they felt her being blind meant she couldn't have a drivers licence? They might have given in after that

Hope you're doing ok. Maybe you should take the price of your suit out of the aluminium shell she calls a car? Buzz saws tend to cut quite nicely

Shiiiit, dude...

(Am I the only one who's now wondering what you were doing standing under a streetlight in a deserted car-park at night?)

heading to my car :) (it's a good idea for everyone to park near a streetlight at night) but then my phone rang and I paused to read who it was and to answer it.

and yes, shiiiit is the appropriate response

if it were intentional then I am further going to sue her for doing such a sloppy job - I demand professional service from my assassins thank you. I refuse to be killed by an amateur. Wait... maybe not.

The suit is all scuffed and slightly ripped and dirty, dusty and yucky... I will have to see what miracles my dry cleaner can achieve.

heee, I'll live, thanks. Some painful bruises, I'll have to check with a doctor to be sure

heh, I'm in as many pieces as I ever was - she wasn't driving fast enough to do more than bruise.

Alas, my creativity is destroyed! Only endless pampering will restore it to health,

I intend to sue her - this is what PI cases are for (though I think her insurer will just settle straight off).

Thanks, pretty sure I am fine. Checking with a doctor tonight

Ok, my sense of fair play is arising - the car park was all but empty, I was wearing black, it was dark. There WAS a street light and she SHOULD have seen me but I guess I wasn't THAT visible. No excuse though - she was driving to fast and clearly distracted.

I must milk this for all I can - he is actually amazingly sympathetic :). I'm pretty fine though, some unpleasantly painful bruising.

Nah, I'm not a PI lawyer, but I know how this goes - the insurer will handle it, she'll never have to bother with it again

I hope she pays for a nice suit in return for this... Armani, wasn't it?

Maybe you should have a trip to the chiro when the bruising goes down. Car accidents ended up trapping nerves and things for me that weren't really a problem till much later

Yes, that should be 5k minimum and you can get it without a slawyer.
You should go in and get checked out and make them pay medical @ 500. Also do NOT sign away future medical claims, you could end up with a blood clot or something bizarre.

Good lord o_0 I'm glad you are mostly alright. Your suit has my sympathies though.. Perhaps you can do the world a favor and demand her license in the settlement.

She shall pay.

I think she deserves public humiliation, but then I think that should be brought back as a legal punishment.

Wouldn't she automatically lose her license for something like this?

Please rest well and heal well.

heh, I don't need a lawyer, I am a lawyer. Even a criminal lawyer can handle this basic PI.

The glories of the NHS are that I don't have to pay medical. But I will check out anyway becuase you never know. Me sign away furture rights? Noooo way.

I dare say the insurance company will settle it merrily and early :)
