Ok, the weekend rocked like a rocking thing. We had barbeque and alcohol and friends and sun and general wonderfulness. It was loud and raucous and insane and fun and much meat was consumed.
But after barbeque Beloved redeemed himself with several bottles of fine wines, interesting salads (made by beloved to overcome my normal distaste of salad with lots of fancies and meat) chocolate covered strawberries, expensive little chocolates, liqueurs and really fine cocktails (and beloved does make a fine cocktail) sitting on the patio watching the stars on a sultry night. Gentle background music and just the sound of the night and the singing of the fountain. He even dumped our uncomfortable (but stylish, damn it!) patio furniture into the garage and arranged piles of pillows and cushions and blankets (we may have ruined the silk and satin on a few, but the fake fur will survive) on the patio instead so we could lounge, drink, smell the flowers and look at the skies and tell silly stories and play Munchausen
On the whole I think I am willing to belay my revenge. For the time being. At least until he’s not expecting it.
